On the political right, people complain of \u201cus and them\u201d, somehow in competition for resources and capital, where \u201cthem\u201d typically refers to immigrants or to people who have a different appearance or language from \u201cus\u201d. On the political left, people complain of \u201cus and them\u201d, typically a tale of oppressors and oppressed, where \u201cthem\u201d typically refers to the oppressor and \u201cus\u201d to those oppressed for their social status, skin colour, gender or other reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We need to move away from these stories about \u201cus\u201d and \u201cthem\u201d. There is only us. We are one species. We need to work together, collaborate and support each other. Synergy is preferable to dialectic.
