Science forms a hypothesis which ideally is testable, then a theory which generally has been tested to a certain extent and then this becomes a paradigm, which has been extensively tested. The idea is to arrive finally at a scientific fact. So hypothesis, theory, paradigm, fact. Evolution is often called the Theory of Evolution, especially by creationists. In fact it was a theory in the mid 1800s; nowadays it is either a paradigm or a scientific fact. Intelligent design from a scientific perspective is, at best, a hypothesis. So if you teach them in a science class, then you should teach the Intelligent Design Hypothesis and the Fact or Paradigm of Evolution. That doesn&#8217;t make sense of course and that is why only evolution should be taught in science classes at schools. Intelligent Design belongs in classes on religion, social philosophy or perhaps in a class on how stupid and self-deluding mankind can be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have been thinking a little about the difference between evolution and creationism.
