It caught my eye and I picked it up, examined it and stuck it in my pocket. When I got home, I took it out and looked at it again. It was about 15 cm long, with a diameter of about 2 cm and with one roughened end. I rigged up a piece of wood with a piece of string between its ends; the string wound around the steel tube so that moving the piece of wood, and with one finger in the non-roughened end of the tube I could make it turn, like people do with twigs and stuff to try to light a fire. I put the roughened end of the tube to my head and, by moving the piece of wood back and forth, I began to drill a hole in my skull. When I was later released from hospital, I immediately returned home to examine my head in the mirror. As I became used to the new hole in my skull I took to prodding my finger into the gap and lightly pushing into my brain whenever I felt I needed a new idea. Then I discovered that by sticking a battery powered electric gas stove lighter into the hole and squeezing the trigger I could stimulate an orgasm.
